Live In-Office Hygiene Course

This course will cover non surgical periodontal therapy via both hands on and lecture components. The lecture will build a foundation for treatment planning and basic understanding of hygiene instrumentation followed by an in office hands on section covering ultrasonic and curette techniques and instrumentation.

1. 5 – 1.5 lectures covering non surgical periodontal therapy.

2. Periodontal diagnosis and treatment planning review.

3. Instrumentation components will focus on the appropriate non surgical technique.

4. The lecture series will be based on zoom. It will precede the in office hands on component.

1. Focused on sub gingival debridement and instrument adaptation.

2. Scheduled for a friday in the office. There will be an in office live review using models and instruments right away in the am or the evening prior.

3. Live scaling and root planing patients can be scheduled depending on office preference.

1. Become familiar with ultrasonic and curette techniques.

2. Understand the indications and outcomes of scaling and root planing.

3. Identify various stages of periodontal diseases and determine appropriate treatment planning.
