Peri-Implant Disease and Implant Maintenance: Etiologies and Risk Factors

March 29 @ 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

$1750

Minnesota is the State of Hockey for a reason! The intensity and passion for many Minnesotans to become the best hockey players or cheer on their hockey team is second to none in the country. We want to grow and share that same passion with you to become the best you can become at accurately diagnosing, treatment planning, treating, and maintaining inflammatory disease for your patients.

SUMMARY:

This all day course will cover hygiene and implant maintenance strategies with both lecture and hands-on components. The popularity of implants are mainstream for patients with regard to the media and treatments they desire. Treatment planning is key, and the proper diagnosis and maintenance routines are vital to the success for the patient.

Implants are a great treatment plan and functional option for the right patient, but can come with a host of added concerns or be the wrong option for the wrong patient. Thus, the frequency and severity of complications has gone up, so you need to be aware of what is causing the inflammatory issues and what will be the most efficient in treating the root cause.

In this program, we will review common etiologies and risk factors of peri-implant diseases.  We will focus on evaluating inflammatory implant disease in order to identify site and case specific causes.  We will discuss treatment sequencing and expected outcomes while focusing on etiology specific therapy.

Your course registration includes the lecture  and hands on style CE course, food and snacks during the program, and an all inclusive food and drinks ticket package to the MN Wild Vs. New Jersey Devils at the Xcel Energy Center.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

At the completion of the program, participants should be able to:

  • Diagnosis basic inflammatory implant disease
  • Describe common etiologies of peri-implant inflammatory disease
  • Identify risk factors for inflammatory implant disease
  • Identify iatrogenic concerns for peri-implant disease
  • Understand case specific peri-implant therapy and expected outcomes
